LUMBOSACRAL SPINE COMPLETE INCLUDING BENDING
INDICATIONS: Low back pain.
FINDINGS: Lumbar spine, 9 views total, including neutral, flexion, and extension lateral films. No comparison.
Moderate dextroscoliosis centered at approximately L4. Four well-formed lumbar type vertebral bodies with partial sacralization of L5. Severe, diffuse degenerative disc disease throughout the lumbar spine, particularly L3-L4 and L4-L5. Associated endplate changes. Diffuse, moderate vertebral spurring. Diffuse facet arthropathy. Obesity limits exam. There appears to be grade 1 anterolisthesis L5 on Sl. This does not appear to change significantly between flexion and extension. Minimal anterior wedging T12 vertebral body.
IMPRESSION:
1. Severe, diffuse degenerative disease of the lumbar spine.
2. Grade 1 anterolisthesis L5 on Sl without gross significant abnormal motion, but body habitus does limit the exam.
